TV shows with background music too loud

I guess I am getting old. We are enjoying watching Discovery Health's Dr. G, Medical Examiner. But the background music is so loud and annoying that I am trying to get Dave to turn the closed captioning on and turn down the sound. I wrote to viewer relations at Discovery.com and maybe they will listen to my complaint. I will let you know.
